Investors

Waste is a daily, contracted volume.

Pragmatix Ceylon is developing circular infrastructure in Jaffna District, Sri Lanka. The model connects verified feedstock, appropriate processing and productive uses. All capacity figures below are clearly identified as proposed targets.

01Investment logic

01

Feedstock before capacity

Volume and composition are verified before a facility is sized. This is the single largest cause of failure in waste infrastructure, and the first thing we de-risk.

02

Offtake before commitment

Buyers are qualified against specification before capital is committed, so recovered material has a market rather than a warehouse.

03

Modular and replicable

Each facility is designed as a repeatable module. Proving one district creates a template rather than a one-off asset.

04

Infrastructure duration

Waste arrives every day. Contracted supply and long-horizon offtake suit patient, infrastructure-style capital rather than short cycles.

  • PROPOSED

    Stage 01 — Valvettithurai Plastics

Valvettithurai, Jaffna District · Waste plastics

    3–5 TPD

    Proposed proof-of-concept capacity

  • IN DEVELOPMENT

    Stage 02 — Mulli Organics

Mulli, Vadamarachchi South West, Jaffna District · Biodegradable waste

    50 TPD

    Proposed proof-of-concept capacity

  • CONCEPT

Stage 03 — Jaffna Integrated SWM

Valikamam East, Jaffna District · Municipal solid waste

    District-wide scope

Intended scope — capacity not yet defined

All three proposed stages are in Jaffna District. Plastics and composting establish the proof of concept; integrated mixed-waste processing is the larger model.

03The scale model

Three levers, not one bet.

01

Geography

Beginning in Jaffna, the model is designed to expand through Northern and Eastern Sri Lanka, other regions of the island and, over time, selected international markets.

02

Materials

The model is intended to move beyond initial plastics and organics toward the full municipal waste stream: paper, metals, glass, rubber, coconut waste, textiles, sanitary waste, e-waste and inert material.

Products

Over time, Pragmatix intends to move further downstream — from processed materials such as plastic pellets into higher-value finished products, including applications such as furniture.

04What we are looking for

Development capital

To advance feasibility, permitting and site preparation.

Equipment finance

For processing lines specified to verified material streams.

Strategic partners

Operators and offtakers who want long-term supply, not a pilot.
